'Friends' of Monks Risborough School
Welcome to the 'Friends' of Monks Risborough School.
We are a hard working committee raising monies for the school by holding fund raising events throughout the year.
Last year our focus to raise money was on the new computer suite. We were able to purchase 14 RM ONE PC'S which replaced the old 98's. This year we have managed to purchase another 10 RM machines.
In previous years we have raised enough money to re-line the outdoor swimming pool,buy new books for the class libraries,games boxes for the pupils to play with at playtime and many other much needed items.
This year our focus has been to raise enough money to buy more interactive whiteboards and purchase an out-door climbing area for KS2. We have also ongoing commitments to pay for Broadband.
If you are interested in joining our committee of ' Friends' please email us or ask to speak to Doreen Nish at the school.
We have a good laugh and often meet at the pub for our meetings which is a very sociable occasion. We normally meet once a month unless there is a big event coming up , then we have a smaller sub- committee.
Do not be put off by the word 'committee' believe it or not we are also parents trying to make the future brighter for our children.
